Core Principles
- Understanding the Pillars of Islam and concept of Tawheed (monotheism)
- Strengthening one’s faith based on the Qur’an and Sunnah (Prophetic Example)
- Understanding the Islamic moral system, and implementing it in our lives
- Equipping oneself with the proper skills to recite the Noble Qur’an
Teaching Method
The IECPA Sunday School prioritizes its focus on teaching the fundamentals and pillars of Islam. It works to ensure the students have a firm grip on concepts like the oneness of Allah, His Names, and His Attributes. It also aims to teach Qur’an in an interesting way that eases for the student its recitation and spiritual growth through it.
With regards to Islamic Studies, we take advantage of the creative and accurate workbooks already published on these subjects. These books are customized to fit each grade level, though their topics may repeat but with greater depth and perspective for the older students.
With regards to Qur’anic Studies, we believe that individual instruction is ideal whenever possible, and thus try to adapt that within our classrooms while separating between the beginner / advanced students to keep all motivated and challenged.
With regards to Islamic morals, we try and utilize hands-on activities to bring these concepts into our lives on a more practical level, and hopefully become accustom to them.
